A PERFECT DAISY

It goes without saying I love daisies.  And I love too taking photographs of daisies and have amassed a huge collection of such photographs.

But one I took recently has turned out to be the best I have ever taken of a daisy.  It wasn't until I got home and was reviewing the photos I'd taken that day that I noticed the extreme clarity of this photograph and then the tiny raindrop on the daisy.  It looks like a tiny diamond on the petal.

As I examined the photograph my vivid imagination crept in, as it often does and looking at the tiny raindrop on the petal, I thought of the words we said as kids whilst plucking the petals from a daisy 'he loves me, he loves me not'.

So perhaps the petal on which the raindrop sits is the one that would be 'he loves me not' and the raindrop isn't a raindrop but a teardrop?

Perhaps I need to get out more!

You're right - this is a fabulous photo of a daisy! I too love daisies - so much so that when I was young (a gazillion years ago) I used to paint one on my cheek - even on my wedding day I had my daisy, much to my mother's dismay!

Hi Sue,
Thanks for the comment. That sounds lovely to have a daisy on your cheek :-) Real hippy chic.

Dear Catherine
definately Donegal Tourism should hire you, or at least pay for your site. The whole site is fantastic
Best wishes

Hi Michael

Thank you so much for your comment. If only they would employ me ~ I'd be being paid for something I absolutely love doing ~ photographing and writing about Donegal. Dream job lol.
