A new activity for guests has been added this year ~ gold panning!
It's great fun and something all the family can join in with and we even supply two gold panning dishes in Daisy Cottage. (Extra ones can be bought in the village if wanted).

ABOUT THIS BLOG
Daisy Cottage, Donegal, is our holiday home in the village of Dunkineely in south west Donegal, Ireland. Dunkineely is a small village between Donegal Town and Killybegs and is surrounded by dramatic and varied scenery: mountains, cliffs, green fields and sandy beaches.
We have wanted to own our own place in this area for a long time and when the opportunity came up to purchase this house, we went for it.
Our intention then, and still, is to have the cottage not only for our own use but also to rent it to holidaymakers wanting a comfortable home from home in Donegal.
Although we have now owned the cottage for a couple of years, work has been delayed due to renovations we were doing on our home in Letterkenny. These renovations are now complete and so we can forge ahead with the renovations to Daisy Cottage and turn it into the little piece of Heaven we know it can become.
Join me on that journey and read about the trials, tribulations and triumphs of restoring Daisy Cottage.

Welcome to my Daisy Cottage Donegal blog where I write about the renovations of Daisy Cottage, my trips around County Donegal, photos of Donegal, and observations and experiences along the way.
Catherine The renovations are now complete! I am currently awaiting delivery of the furniture we ordered and am looking around for soft furnishings to complete the look. I have now taken the huge step (for me) of actually advertising the cottage for holiday rental.
